Neutering

We had Loki neutered today. Picked him up at 5:00 and he hit the ground running. I'm keeping him in the kennel for now, but blown away that he acts oblivious to his junk being gone. I know I would have a bad attitude for at least a few days, lol.

Thanks Trish. Right now I'm thinking 6-7 months.

Ixas was neutered at 5 months because there is no way i would have taken a chance with spraying...he was already starting to howl and I knew it was only a matter of time. My vet believes in early S/N and I will probably practice that for the next litter...

Joe, you are an awesome pet owner, but please get that boy neutered ;)

I was really expecting a withdrawn kitty today after neuter yesterday. Boy was I wrong!!! Loki is noticeably more affectionate today, really curious about that. No signs of any pain, and he has been eating voraciously since we got him home. He was 11.7lbs at the vet yesterday, 24 old weeks today.

He's showing more of his "feminine" side now. Don't be worried unless it gets worse.:big grin:

Big head buts, that's new for him. He always rubs a lot, but really snuggling today. Hope it continues, he is really sweet, but a bit aggressive when they play. Not mean, just Alpha Male all the way!

Shango showed the same behavior, he was noticeably more affectionate post neutering day1 or so. I thought it was maybe his pain reliever medicine, but who knows maybe it was the procedure. Now he is totally 100% back to his normal behavior (10 days later).
