What is on your arm, Mom?!

So, me being "special" like I am..lol tore my rotator cuff. :/ I have to have my arm in a sling for the next 5 days, at least until I can see an the ortho specialist.

Kovu took lots of interest in the sling. lol It was cute to see how interested he was. Then once he was done exploring he just sat down next to me with a paw on my leg. Such a sweet, good boy!

Awwww, he knows his mom has a boo boo. How sweet. Sorry about that rotator cuff. My neighbor had surgery to repair his. He was in a great deal of pain until the docs fixed it. Hope you don't need surgery and heal quickly.

I hope it wont have to have surgery.. they did an x-ray but couldn't tell much. Hopefully will have an MRI done on Wednesday, but yeah, it is pretty painful. :/

Kovu is such a good boy!

I have had 3 rotator cuff tears that required surgery and another one that i am refusing to have surgery on...you cannot tell anything about those tears on xray, so glad u are getting an mri.

Mine were all mountain-biking related...often they will heal with PT, especially if partial tears...good luck. I am surprised about the sling...most orthos do not want pts to wear slings with rotator cuff tears because lack of mobility will cause frozen shoulder.

He told me not to leave it on all day for that reason & he showed me some exercises to do three times a day. I haven't seen the ortho yet, these were just instructions per the doctor at urgent care.
